Matthew Scarborough

Originally from Sarasota, Florida, David A. Hildreth, Esq. joined the firm in 2019. David began his career working on the Plaintiff’s side of property insurance disputes, and he has spent more than 3 years both as a law clerk and as an attorney handling First Party Property insurance litigation. His experience in the Assignment of Benefits law gives him a unique insight into the challenges and complexities surrounding one of the most contentious areas of civil litigation in Florida.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, David graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where he was highly involved in various student programs. He earned the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy as well as the highest-grade recognition for “Negotiation and Mediation” and “Cyber-Law Seminar”. David was also involved in multiple leadership, mentorship, and student-government activities while in law school, and he uses those skills today to give back to the community in the form of pro-bono legal assistance and mentoring students who aspire to attend law school.
