Senior Associate Attorney

H. Davis Lewis, Jr. is a Senior Associate with Scarborough Attorneys at Law and is a native Floridian, civil litigator, and trial counsel. Davis defends individuals and businesses who are sued by others. His practice focuses on automobile crashes, premises liability, insurance litigation, trucking accidents, negligent security, personal injury, and wrongful death. Davis has experience conducting Instant Response Investigations on behalf of respective insured clients in cases involving serious bodily injuries and fatalities.

Davis has experience litigating civil causes of action on behalf of respective clients throughout the State of Florida in state and federal courts. He has served as lead trial counsel in many cases. Davis obtained a Defense Verdict in his very first Trial by Jury involving an admitted liability automobile negligence case in the 15th Judicial Circuit in and for Palm Beach County, Florida. Davis also obtained favorable defense verdicts for insured clients in back-to-back-to-back civil jury trials in admitted liability automobile negligence cases.

Davis is admitted to The Florida Bar, United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He volunteered with the Orange County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Spelling Bee Benefiting A.L.L. (Adult Literacy League) as Co-Chairman in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. This charitable organization received the 2010 Outstanding Public Service Project Award of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Section. Davis helped raise funds for A.L.L. over the course of these four charitable spelling bees. He has volunteered with The Florida Bar YLD/FEMA Disaster Legal Services Plan to help victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Michael that struck Florida.

Davis was selected for Florida Super Lawyers, Rising Stars in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019. Davis supports The Florida Sheriff’s Association and one of his favorite experiences in law school was being The Honorable Martin J. Bidwill’s first law school intern in the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

In his spare time, Davis enjoys spending time with his son, Luke, and their Shetland Sheepdog. He likes to attend University of Florida baseball and football games and participating in a plethora of outdoor activities in the Sunshine State.
