Michael R. Simons
Michael R. Simons joined the firm in early 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Mike worked in a plaintiff’s firm that focused on property damage and personal injury cases. As a part of that practice, Mike was involved in negotiating settlement in numerous sinkhole and personal injury cases. That experience taught him how plaintiff’s firms operate and how they interact with insurance companies. Before that he worked in a small practice in Jacksonville, Florida focusing on consumer bankruptcy and foreclosure defense. That practice taught him the importance of attention to detail.
Mike is admitted to the Florida Bar (2010) and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (2010). Mike is a graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law (J.D. 2010) and Coastal Carolina University (B.S. in Business Administration 2004). While in law school he focused his studies on contract law and estate planning, and was an intern for a patent law firm and two bankruptcy law firms. During his time at CCU, Mike was a member of student government and volunteered for organizations such as PUSH America and the Grand Strand Miracle League.
