Scarborough Attorneys At Law announces Amy McConnell, ESQ. as a new Partner of the firm

Amy brings over nine years of experience litigating in State and Federal courts in both Third- and First-Party Insurance Defense. Her experience includes successfully defending insurance carriers in personal injury, commercial and general liability, as well as first-party property matters. In addition to her trial experience, Amy has won motions to dismiss for fraud at the trial level based upon plaintiffs’ dishonest testimony, saving the carrier the costs of trial with a dismissal with prejudice. At the appellate level, she prevailed in the Fifth District Court of Appeal’s reversal of a trial court’s denial of the insurer’s motion to compel appraisal under the insurance policy. Amy received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and received Book Awards in Remedies and Civil Procedure.
